The band competes once per year in grade 4 competition at the Combined Scottish Societies Gathering, mainly for the improvement that goes with contest preparation. Although the primary objective of some bands is competition, ours is more social, as contests can be very demanding, at the cost of precious time with family as well as individuals’ business commitments. If you are interested in joining the Clan MacLeod Pipe Band, please contact

All necessary assistance is provided, however, drummers are encouraged to learn at their own pace without any pressure!

Pipers: The Band welcomes players at all levels. Those who have previously played with another band but have not kept up their piping skills can be coached back to full playing level or anyone with an interest but no previous experience can be given full tuition.
